Warning issued to Isack Hadjar following a procedural error during the Sprint in China

Isack Hadjar received a warning from the FIA stewards at the Chinese Grand Prix after failing to follow the proper procedure when exiting the pit lane prior to the Sprint race. The FIA stewards issued a warning to Isack Hadjar following the Sprint race at the Chinese Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver failed to follow the race director's instructions regarding the procedure for exiting the pit lane prior to the practice starts. The incident occurred on Saturday morning, around 10:30 a.m. local time, during the sequence preceding the Sprint.
A misinterpretation of the lines at the pit lane exit According to the document published by the FIA, the race director's notes specify that cars not wishing to perform a practice start must leave the pit lane and cross the white line separating the pit lane exit from the track as soon as possible, in order to rejoin the normal racing line.

However, Isack Hadjar's car only partially crossed this line, leaving part of the car still on the pit lane exit. This position was deemed non-compliant with the instructions given to the drivers.

When questioned by the stewards, the French driver acknowledged that it was a mistake on his part, explaining that he had been distracted by the various lines on the track surface at that point on the circuit. A limited penalty
After reviewing video footage and onboard camera footage, the stewards determined that the situation did not pose an immediate danger to other cars, particularly those performing their practice starts. However, this type of situation can potentially create a risk, which explains the existence of strict rules in the race director's notes.

In line with precedents for this type of incident, the stewards therefore chose to sanction the driver with a simple warning, without a sporting penalty.
