For the very first time, Peter Auto will bring together an exceptional selection of historic Formula 1 cars at the Dijon-Prenois circuit this summer, from June 3 to 5.
The real appeal of this weekend lies not only in the roar of vintage engines, but also in the opportunity to immerse oneself in the golden age of Formula 1, which continues to haunt the mythology of the sport. Peter Auto, the club best known for the Tour Auto and Le Mans Classic, is transforming the historic Dijon-Prenois circuit into a living museum from June 3 to 5, 2022, by hosting the very first Grand Prix de l'Âge d'Or (Golden Age Grand Prix).
What makes this event unique is its focus on the 3.5-liter naturally aspirated cars that dominated the field between 1987 and 1994. Expect to see cars such as Tyrell, Williams, Ferrari, and Benetton, alongside the faithful French Ligier and AGS, all ready for four 25-minute demonstration races. These sessions promise much more than speed; they aim to revive the unmistakable soundtrack and smell of an era marked by legendary duels between Prost and Senna. Beyond the spectacle of single-seaters, the program broadens its scope to include endurance cars and even a selection of classics from the 1950s, offering a broader view of the evolution of motorsport. An adjacent exhibition area will feature a parade of timeless road cars and host a variety of activities for enthusiasts of all ages. In short, this weekend offers a multi-sensory immersion into the history of motor racing, rooted in Peter Auto's commitment to preserving the most iconic chapters of the sport.
