Historic Formula 1 cars regularly compete in races around the world, from France to the famous Goodwood Festival, and this time they demonstrated their performance at the Gulf Historic Festival in Dubai.

From November 25 to 27, the Gulf Historic Show at the Dubai Autodrome transformed the desert circuit into a living museum, allowing fans not only to admire but also to hear the roar of Formula 1 cars from the golden age. While the track hosted races between cars from the 1970s and 1990s, the real attraction was the opportunity to get behind the wheel of iconic cars that have marked the history of the sport.

Highlights included the 1991 Ferrari 643, in immaculate condition, the same chassis that carried Alain Prost and Gianni Morbidelli in the early 1990s. Its sleek red silhouette drew crowds eager to imagine the speeds it once reached. Equally impressive was the black Shadow-Ford DN3, instantly recognizable by its imposing air intake. Driven by Jean-Pierre Jarier in 1974, this car won its only podium finish at the legendary Monaco Grand Prix, demonstrating its bold design.

The event also provided an opportunity for a reunion between racing families. Nicolas Prost, son of the four-time champion, and Anthony Beltoise, son of former F1 driver Jean-Claude Beltoise, took turns at the wheel of these historic cars, sharing anecdotes that bridged the generations. Veteran drivers Thierry Boutsen and Jean-Denis Delétraz added their own touch to the weekend, while endurance specialist Sophia Floersch demonstrated that passion for high-performance machines transcends categories.

For those who missed the event live, the show organizers have released full videos that capture the spirit of each era. One clip revisits the spectacle of F1 in the 1970s, while another takes viewers back to the 1990s with track footage and commentary from the drivers.
