On Saturday, May 20, Formula 1 will allow fans to watch a live replay of the 2021 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, just hours after the 2005 race.

Following the catastrophic floods that forced the cancellation of the Imola Grand Prix this weekend, Formula 1 has chosen to honor its fans by offering them a look back at the recent history of the sport. Instead of a live race, the series will feature two iconic showdowns. In the early afternoon, the official F1 YouTube channel will rebroadcast the dramatic 2005 duel at Imola between Michael Schumacher and a rising Fernando Alonso, allowing viewers to relive the tension of that era. Later, at 9 p.m., the channel will switch to the 2021 Imola race, which saw Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton battle it out in a duel that helped decide that year's championship. These two consecutive broadcasts aim to maintain enthusiasm while the circuit recovers from the natural disaster.
